"Tane" the Taniwha is Northland Rugby Union's mascot. Despite being quite scary, he hasn't helped Northland win too many games, but this doesn't stop Northland fans being fanatically loyal and dedicated to their home team. Go the Mighty Taniwha!

yep having been to a few northland rugby games I must say, no offence to any fans out there that they need a bit more oomph. who's your hometeam Fi? The same as mine I suspect :-)
ReplyDeleteThey are definitely lacking! I guess it's because it's not a full time profession for most of the team - most of them still have other jobs.
